Season & conditions
The best time for hiking around Zeneggen and the Moosalp is from June to October. In summer, the high-altitude areas around 2000 m are ideal for longer tours, while in autumn, the golden larch trees and clear long-distance views provide particularly good conditions. On higher routes, residual snow, thunderstorms, or short-term closures may affect planning.
Practical tips
Sturdy hiking boots, rain protection, sun protection, and sufficient water should always be in your pack. The Moosalp is accessible by post bus from Visp, and individual tours can be combined with public transport or mountain railways. For planning, Swisstopo and the signposted regional routes are recommended.
